Tabouli Salad Serves 8 what you need: 1/3 cup burgul wheat (finely ground) 1/2 cup hot water 1 bunch of Continental/ Italian (Flat leaf) Parsley, roughly chopped 1 cup of mint leaves, roughly chopped 1 bunch shallots, (whites & greens) finely sliced 2 lemons, juiced (approx 1/2 cup) 2 Roma tomatoes, deseeded, finely diced 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil pinch of sea salt what you do: Place burgul wheat into a small bowl , cover with hot water, allow to soak for half an hour Drain wheat and dry out, by spreading it out on a clean tea towel Once all ingredients are chopped, combine parsley, mint, shallots & tomato, into a large bowl. Add lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt and mix well Add burgul wheat and mix well Serve as a salad or accompaniment to meats. enjoy
